Sugared Nuts
Makes about 1 pound
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
2-1/2 cups unsalted mixed nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
   
1. Grease baking sheet; set aside.
2. Combine sugar and water in medium saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
3. Add nuts and vanilla. Cook, stirring occasionally, until water evaporates and nuts are sugary, about 12 minutes.
4. Spread on prepared baking sheet, separating nuts. Let stand until cooled.
